Welcome to Medicare 101

Hello, my name is Cassie, and I am with Agent Elevate.

I have worked in the insurance industry for close to eight years. I started my career as a recruiter and transitioned to business development, where I’ve had the pleasure of training agents and agencies about Medicare. I am also a licensed insurance agent, so I’m fortunate to see both sides of this industry.

Today we will be doing a deep dive into Medicare. The goal of this training is to equip you with the knowledge to go out and assist Medicare beneficiaries with their needs. We will be explaining what Medicare is, what Medicare covers, and the difference between Medicare Supplement Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Prescription Drug Plans and how they all work together. We will also be discussing the different enrollment periods, what makes the plan competitive, and how to find the best plans to fit your client’s needs.

This training course is divided into four lessons to help you better understand. After each lesson, you’ll have the opportunity to test your knowledge with a short quiz. At the end of this course, there will be a final exam where you can see how you did overall and where you may benefit with additional training.
